    • Bringing a new four-legged family member into your home is quite an undertaking.  In fact, it is very much like bringing a new baby home from the hospital.  Where will he or she sleep?  What will he or she eat?  Which veterinarian (doctor) should you choose?  Which trainer (educator) should you select?  What kind of grooming is required?  Will the other furry family members (siblings) bond with him or her?  All these questions and more will be on your mind.

For help with these questions and concerns, visit the Care page for answers, suggestions, and some good ol’ fashioned advice.

      Canine Care

    • Can you imagine a life without your loving four-legged hound, adventure sidekick, cuddle buddy, travel companion, fellow couch potato, walking partner, and go to comforter when you are sad and need to know that everything is going to be alright?  Me neither.

Because of this, we need to make sure that we keep them around as long as possible.  There are many ways to help your canine remain slim and trim and fit as a fiddle during his or her lifetime.

Take a look at the Health page to read about ways to keep your dog in prime condition.

      Hound Health

    • All of us need to live in a safe environment.  We know that safety is not a luxury, but a basic need.  The same is true for our dogs.

Believe it or not, danger can lurk anywhere.  A simple stick, forbidden chocolate, or exploring alone outside of his or her home or yard can lead to disaster.  And, while we cannot remain vigilant and prepared every moment of every day for every situation gone wrong, we can take necessary and sensible precautions to limit our furry friends exposure to safety risks.

See the Safety page for information related to your canine’s safety and how you can help eliminate some risky situations.
